I did it!

I finished my 1st crochet blanket. I'm so in love :)

Magic ball swap

I was lucky to take part in Lynda's Magic Ball Swap. I was partnered with the lovely Sarah. We sent each other lots of emails and agreed to send the swaps by the end of August.

My parcel arrived and oh my word Sarah really treated me. Would you like to see?

I could not wait to dip inside the parcel to see what Sarah had sent.

There was a also a Dairy milk bar, but my daughter stole it before I could take a photo! Thank you again Sarah I love everything that you sent xx

Lego land

We booked a weekend away at Lego land. With our bags off we went to the hotel. Oh my word our room was massive.

We stayed in the Millennium Majestic in Reading. Lovely clean hotel, attached to the Reading FC. Being next to the football ground we spotted a few footballers.

Off we went to Lego land, We had not been before so everything was new and exciting. We tried to go on every ride, but failed. We just needed more days, planning to go back again very soon.

 
There was lots to see and do.  I don't know who was more excited by the Lego creations, me or the children.

The only down side I could see was, everything was a little dirty and dusty.

When life throws blackberries at you....

....make jam!

While on a walk with the children I managed to pick enough early blackberries to make nearly a pot of jam.

Very nice on a slice of toast :)

Cub Camp

This weekend we attend a family Cub camp. I was feeling a little worried about going away with the children alone. I had no need to be, the camp was very well run.

The children's favorite part was singing songs around the camp fire :)
