Heart Beauty Essentials Box Review

On hearing about this box I just had to order one, Latest in Beauty have teamed up with Heart Radio to put together a box of their favourite beauty essentials.

My box contained 14 products, some full size and some travel/sample size.  The box costs £15 plus P&P the box has a contents has a combine value of over £70, Whats not to love!

When the box arrived it looked a bit beaten up :( which was a bit sad, but not the end of the world.

My favourite has to be the Nails Inc full size, Ive been trying to get hold of this colour for ages with no joy.

I also like that there are so many full size products, all in all a very good box.

Pocket Letters

I have recently been spending all my free time thinking, shopping, watching you tube videos and making pocket letters.

If you don't know what a pocket letter is, its a way of sending pretty mail to people

Pocket letters creator Janette Lane came up with the idea at the beginning of the year and its taking off all over the world.

You take a trading card plastic sleeve and fill each of the 9 sections with goodies and make it pretty.

I have sent out about 15 and they are highly addictive

I have also received some really lovely pocket letters

Kikki K weeks set up

Those of you that know me know I'm a massive Filofax fan.  I've had one since I was 15 and my love for them has grown over the years.

While searching on Instagram I came across a photo of a stunning planner from Kikki K. I fell in love that instant.

I put out a wanted post and a very kind lady replied, a deal was made and planner sent.

This week I've move into my Kikki K, I thought I would share with you my weeks decoration.  I hope to do a post every week to share my decorated pages.

New Venture

I'm a lover of all things stationery and pretty, so I've decided to open a ikle shop full of things I love.

The kindness of strangers...A swap from America

A couple of months ago i asked a fellow stationery addict in the USA if they would like to do a stationery swap with me.

So we set a budget and posted our parcels.

My parcel arrived from the lovely Juliet and OMG i was gobsmacked....she had been oh so very kind.

My parcel arrived while i was at the hospital...it could not have arrived at a better time...i was feeling very low and it made me smile no end.

I opened the box and was greeted by all this lovely American stationery...i was quite emotional while emptying the box...i could not believe that a stranger could be so kind and send me little old me in the UK such a generous and thoughtful parcel. The parcel even included the Target dollar spot must haves!!

Juliet also included some American chocolate and Oreos...my husband asked if she would be able to send some after he found out we were doing a swap...he was very happy with her selection.

I thank Juliet for her kind generosity...we have agreed to become snail mail buddies and chatted about doing another swap in 6 months or so.

Hexies

While sorting out boxes the other day I came across a hexie cushion kit I had purchased a few years ago from Kandipandi's blog

I had forgotten all about this kit!

I had already started making the hexies

I had forgotten what a easy on the go project hexies are. They really are a pleasure to work on

I hunted down some of my fabric scraps and added to the pile of already made hexies.

The cushion front is slowly growing, I will post a finished picture soon.

The wonderful world of snailmail

Recently while having a look around the Internet I came across a few posts on Instagram about snail mail.

The more I looked around the more I fell in love.  The envelopes, the stationary, the pens, the stickers...you get the idea.

I set about making a wanted post to put on my instagram, my phone went off within a few minutes...someone wanted to be my pen pal.  Form there on several other people left messages.

So I set about getting together a box of bits to make my letters pretty.  I really love the idea of sending some happiness through the post to a strange and making them smile.

Paperchase orders arrived...just look at that box of pretty

So I set about writing to my snail mail pals, having way to much fun with all the pretty stationary

Soon the letters started coming through my letterbox...I dashed to the mat...to find such lovely heart warming letters from all over the world.

The only problem is I think I'm a bit addicted to buying washi tape...

Can you ever have to much? ;P
