Stationery Haul

I am a sucker for stationery, I have so much. I really do not need anymore, but I'm always looking out for more. Does anyone else collect all things stationery? Do you have more notebooks than Paperchase?

One very dull and wet day my daughter and I popped into Cambridge. I was very excited as I would get to visit John Lewis, Tiger and Paperchase. We parked up, making a note of the floor we are on (I am good at forgetting so I take a photo)

First stop was Paperchase, Oh so many new and pretty things. I decided to look at the postcards first, picking up a couple that made me smile. They may become dashboards for my planner or maybe just to make me smile when looking at my noticeboard.

Having seen some washi tape I liked online we went on a search. Oh my I picked it up to my daughter saying "really mum? you don't need more washi" I can forgive her, she does not understand!

Next into Tiger, because we had gone in early the shop was nearly empty. I was a little disappointed as nothing really stood out. I think was visited in between seasons so not much new to see. I did pick up this pack of sticky notes, liking the colours especially the black ones.

OK now to pop into John Lewis, I had a £25 voucher burning a hole in my pocket. I headed straight to the Kate Spade stationery as I knew this is where I would spend my voucher. Lusting after the gold dot pencil case for a while and today was the day she was coming home with me :)

So pretty, she contains 2 pencils, ruler, eraser and pencil sharpener

Back to the car and onto Hobby Craft. I did not find much at all that took my eye, but they had a load of new washi tape

When I returned home with my bag of new goodies I was greeted with a order I had made with Cloudy Cow.

Perfect stickers to use in my snail mail and journal.

Such a lovely day spent looking around shops and laughing with my daughter :)

Adult Colouring

How are you all?

Back into the swing of things after Christmas?

I wanted to share with you today the wonderful world of adult colouring (not nude and risky images, although I'm sure there are colouring books along this theme) I find colouring very calming and relaxing. As a chronic pain sufferer its really helped me to get through times of a bad flare.

I have been dipping my toe into the world of colouring revolution, but for Christmas I received not one, not two now you might be thinking its got to be three, but no you are wrong its four! I received four colouring books for Christmas from different people and none of them were the same! Amazing...

With my colour pencils all sharpened and ready...by the way if you become a serious colourer ( I class myself as such) then its worth investing in a electric sharpener. I picked mine up from WHSmiths and has saved me from developing RSI in my hand.

Sometimes I use pens and paints, but my favourite are pencils as you can blend and they don't leak through to the image on the other side leaving it useless!

A day does not pass without me doing colouring in some form. The image above is from the Lost Ocean book, Its a lovely book and is my go to at the moment. I do like Johanna Basford's books the best, such lovely illustrations.

You can find some sample pages here so you can print out and give it a try. Let me know how you get on :)

Do you enjoy colouring? Can you recommend any good books?

Hope you are all well

Let me introduce you to Rupert

How is everyone? The days are well and truly turning to winter and the heating has been on the past few days. Although I'm currently siting in my conservatory and the sun is shining through the glass, its quite pleasant in here.

I thought it was about time I introduced you to Rupert our new house bunny. We got Rupert as we thought the time was right. Our beloved Hercules bunny passed away a year ago leaving a massive hole in our lives. We were not sure we would have another bunny, but my daughter had been looking after a neighbours bunnies and it really made us realise how much we miss having one in our lives.

So off we went to the local pet shop which had just opened in our village and fell in love with a bunny who would become to be known as Rupert.
My daughter stood in the middle of the shop giving him a hug and he just stayed on her enjoying the closeness.

Would you like to meet him?

Rupert is a Lion head lop cross, his almost 6 months old now and is so full of personality. He has our hearts, he is so sweet. If any of you follow me on instargram you will have seen he gets upto all sorts.

The sweetest thing he does is when he sleeps he pops one paw under his head as he lays down. Ive tried so hard to take a good photo, but he keeps waking up!

He also makes good company for watching Downton Abbey. After I drop the children off at school on a monday I make a cuppa and Rupert and I sit on the sofa to watch.

We have also managed to train him to ask for treats, so he goes to the corner of the room on his back legs.
We are so pleased we went looking for a bunny the day we did as Rupert is such a sweet, funny and loving bunny

Do any of you have a house bunny? I would love to hear about them in the comments.

Plan with me

Morning all, how are you all today? Is everyone loving the crisp sunny Autumn days? I so love this time of year, you can get cosy and snug.

With Halloween around the corner I thought I would decorate my happy planner for next week with a Halloween theme.
I used Paperchase black with gold dot washi tape to divide the morning, afternoon and evening sections. I then placed stickers randomly all over the week.
I also like to change the column down the left side to a to do list for the week.
I ordered my stickers from Plan with Jade, she does a whole range of planner themed sticker kits.
